Therapy Assistance

Addilynn has been receiving physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology services since she was 9 months old.  Therapy has been an integral part of her ability to gain new skills and regain lost skills after a CACNA1A-related neurological event. We understand how important therapy access is to build a foundation for independence and success for children.  We also understand that the out-of-pocket costs for therapy can cause a financial burden for families.  Our We Bee-lieve Grant helps with out-of-pocket costs for therapy services.  We provide grants for individuals up to the age of 21.  We will consider applications for individuals over the age of 21 on a case by case basis.

Families may request up to $1000 per quarter.  Preference will be given to families who have not been a Therapy Scholarship recipient in the current fiscal year.  Scholarship funds are paid directly to the outpatient therapy clinic.

Adaptive Equipment Assistance

Addilynn uses various types of adaptive equipment as a result of her CACNA1A-related disorders.  She has a stander, wheelchair, gait trainer, and a communication device...just to name a few!  This adaptive equipment increases her independence and quality of life.  Unfortunately, not all adaptive equipment is covered by insurance.  Our We Bee-lieve Grant helps families with out-of-pocket costs for adaptive equipment.

Amount awarded will vary depending on number of applicants per quarter.  Preference will be given to families who have not been an Adaptive Equipment Grant recipient in the current fiscal year.  Grants are paid directly to the vendor.
